Board of Canvassers

The Board of Canvassers consists of three members and two alternates who are responsible for all aspects of voting and elections. The Board of Canvassers Clerk is available in the Town Clerk's Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Persons may register to vote in person any time during the work day at the Town Hall in the Town Clerks Office from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.  To register to vote or change your voter registration online go to: http://sos.ri.gov/elections/voters/register/

 
POLL WORKERS NEEDED
FOR THE
GENERAL ELECTION NOVEMBER 5, 2024

 

Under Rhode Island law, poll workers must:

  •         Be registered to vote in Rhode Island
  •         Be able to read the RI Constitution in  English
  •         Be able to write your name

POLL WORKERS ARE PAID TO WORK FROM 6 A.M. UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 9 P.M.

Supervisors/Greeters - $175
Clerks- $205
Moderators $215

   A MANDATORY TRAINING IS PROVIDED BY THE STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS.  POLL WORKERS WILL BE PAID AN ADDITIONAL $25 TO ATTEND TRAINING.
