EMT Student Ride Time Information
Thank you for your interest in doing your EMT clinical experience with the West Warwick Fire Department.
All EMT students will be 18 years of age or older.
The following process must be followed by all students wishing to do clinical / ride time with the West Warwick Fire Department:
1. Contact the Chief’s Administrative Assistant and request EMT, AEMT-C, or Paramedic clinical ride time.

2. Fill out the EMT Student Clinical Experience Request Form and return it to the Administrative Assistant., either email or in person at Fire Department Headquarters 1176 Main St.
3. The Completed EMT Student Clinical Experience Request Form will be forwarded to the Deputy Assistant Chief for scheduling.
4. The Deputy Assistant Chief will schedule ride time with an available and willing Rescue crew.
5. The EMT Student will sign a West Warwick Fire Department Liability Waiver at the beginning of his/her first visit.
6. The student will be given an “EMT STUDENT” name tag to be worn on the upper right side, front of their outer shirt or sweatshirt.
